Habot-Wilner Zohar

Prof. Zohar Habot-Wilner is the director of the uveitis & inflammatory eye disease service in the division of ophthalmology at the Tel Aviv Medical Center and a clinical associate professor at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University in Israel. She is the founder of the combined Rheumatology-Ophthalmology clinic for patients with systemic and ocular inflammatory diseases and the founder of the Israel uveitis patients’ community. She is also a consultant at the retina unit in the division of ophthalmology at the Tel Aviv Medical Center. She graduated the Bruce Rappaport Faculty of Medicine at the Technion, Israel Institute of Technology, Haifa, Israel. She completed her residency in Ophthalmology at the Goldschleger Eye Institute at the Sheba Medical Center, Tel-Hashomer, Israel and a fellowship training in uveitis and external eye disease at Moorfields Eye Hospital in London, England.

Prof. Habot-Wilner main interests are uveitis, inflammatory eye diseases and retinal diseases. She was the chairman of the Israel Uveitis Society during the years 2016- 2020. She was the organizer of the ocular inflammatory disorders course, at the Lions Ophthalmology Educational Centre in Prague, Czech Republic and the founder and organizer of the uveitis course at the School of Graduate Studies at the Sackler Faculty of Medicine at Tel Aviv University. She is a member of the scientific council of the Israeli Ophthalmology Board Examinations, a member of the recognition committee of the Israeli Medical Association Scientific Council and a member of the research grants committee of the Israeli Ophthalmology Society.
