Dr Ashish Sharma completed his clinical retina and research fellowship from University of California Irvine, USA. Before Joining Lotus Eye Hospital, Coimbatore India, he served as a Clinical Instructor at University of California Irvine, USA and faculty at LVPEI Hyderabad, India. His areas of interest are DME, ARMD, Ocular Pharmacotherapy and recent imaging techniques. He is the innovator of the smartphone-based imaging devices such as MII Ret Cam and DIGS-Pro. He has been awarded as International Ophthalmologist Education Award by American Academy of Ophthalmology Board of trustees and Ophthalmic Hero of India by All India Ophthalmic Society. He has published 85 PubMed indexed and several articles in peer-reviewed journals along with book chapters. He is on the reviewing and editorial boards of high impact ophthalmology journals.
